As I watch America go crazy over a flag. I can’t help but think, how unimportant and useless of gesture to make. There are nine black people dead for nothing more than the color of their skin. But as usual, mainstream media is in denial of the real problem, so instead of trying to get to the bottom of racism, lets just take down a racist flag. When it comes to the confederate flag, blacks in the south hate it, and have tried to get it down for so long to the point we have grown immune to it quite honestly. As a child in Arkansas I grew up with that symbol of slavery at my school, next to the American flag imagine what that does to a young black child’s mind.
