Today, girls are looking for role models that are more than Instagram famous or fashion icons. They need more than perfect bodies and make up experts. Girls need women whom make an impact on society and improve their community.

More and more women are taking the reins and creating their own careers by starting their own businesses and organizations. Young women, like Sophia Amoruso, built their companies from the ground up and became their own #GIRLBOSS. In a world where CEOs are primarily men, these women are striking down the stereotype that women are less capable than men. Lena Dunham broke stereotypes about women with her successful career, books and television series, Girls. She also sparked conversation on the Internet with her confident, lingerie photo shoot, breaking societal expectations of what is considered beautiful.

But what about women without famous parents or the funds to start a movement? Ripple Effect
